Student Success Statement By: W.Clement Stone

Student Success Statement
"have the courage to say no. Have the courage to face the truth. Do the right thing because it is right. There are the (3) magic keys to living your life with integrity."

By: W.Clement Stone

You sometimes have to say no like when you are being peer peer pressured to do something that you don't want to do like doing drugs you got to learn to say no to those type of things you cant just go around saying everything that life throws at you. You need to do whats right because it is the right thing to do and you know it is right when you feel good about yourself. You also need the courage to face the truth or else you will be in denial all your life and when you finally face the truth you would of waited to long to be able to of done something about it.

·         Chemistry or physics
·         Earth/space science
More competitive schools expect you to take four year sof lab science courses. You can add two semesters in one of the following subjects:

Man returns cash to Seattle Washington Sears 60 years later

i think that the guy chose the right by returning the money and he did even better by  returning it about 5 times the amount. I think that he should of returned it allot sooner than he did if hadn't of waited 60 years it would of been easier on him instead of feeling bad inside for 60 years.

The following subjects and classes are standard fare for success in high school and beyond, whether you plan to attend a four-year or two-year College.
English (Language Arts)
Take English every year. Traditional courses, Such as American and English literature, help you improve your writing skills, reading comprehension and vocabulary.
Math
You need algebra and geometry to succeed on college entrance exams and in college and in college math classes-and in many careers. Take them early on. That way, you’ll be able to enroll in advanced science and math in high school, and show colleges you’re ready for higher-level work.
Most colleges look for students who have taken three years of math in high school. The more competitive ones require or recommended four years. Each school has its own program, but some of the courses typically offered are:
·         Algebra I
·         Algebra II
·         Geometry
·         Trigonometry
·         Calculus

'Tis the Set of the Sail by Ella Wheeler Wilcox 1916

But to every mind there openeth,
A way, and a way, and away,
A high soul climbs the highway,

And the low soul gropes the low,
And in between on the misty flats,
The rest drift to and fro.

But to every man there openeth,
A high way and low,
And every mind decedeth,
The way his soul shall go.

One ship sails East,
And another West,
By the self-same winds that blow,
'Tis the set of the sails
And not the Gales,
That tells the way we go.
Like the winds of the sea
Are the waves of time,
As we journey along through life,
'Tis the set of the soul,
That determines the goal,
And not the calm or the strife.

Part 1
The academic rigor of your high school courses is an important factor in the college admission process. College admission officers see your high school courses schedule as a blue print of your education. They’re looking for a solid foundation of learning that you can build on in college.
To create that foundation, take at least five solid academic classes every semester. Start with the basics and then move on to advanced courses. Challenging yourself is part of what makes school fun; but you need a firm grasp of the fundamentals before going on to more advanced work.

Student Success Statement by Thomas Carlyle

Student Success Statement
" A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder."
Thomas Carlyle.

Someone that has no goals is just moving straight taking life by chance never knowing where they want to go like a ship without a rudder a ship without a rudder cannot steer so they just keep going in a straight line until they finally crash.
